I can take one during day time as well. Not sure if you can tell ftom pics, but to me it feels as if the armrest isn't getting enough juice.

Thank you for sharing! The armrest isn't getting enough power? Have you adjusted the brightness to see if it makes a difference?

Would the armrest without the illumination be a super easy swap job?

Yea, tried adjusting the light settings. Could be the angle as well (looking straight down) that makes it look a little more faded.

The illumination piece is required (sort of). If you were to swap the armrest without the illumination, there will be a noticeable gap where the light would've been. To answer your original question though, yes, it's a super easy swap job.

Yes, along with the door sills and door handle lighting.

Interesting. Can you post a pic of the door handle lighting? I am guessing that its an aftermarket part?

Edit: Nvm, I ended up finding out through google. It's crazy how many different interior lighting pieces there are but that they don't offer all of them in one country lol.

The upgrade is much better material than stock. Single color on the Illumination but comes in either blue or red.

My coupe doesn’t have that gap in it. Does it go over the sides?

I understand that, and I showed them the one on the EX models and such and I said, "You can't just put it on?" They still assured me that they can't. I don't know if that means it's not possible or that they just won't allow for it. I won't be able to do it in a DIY way, so I really was hoping they'd just be able to do it for me.

Yet even still, as I said... I'll just see how good the console illumination is before considering it anyway, but damn that armrest though...

Maybe I'll either just keep pushing or try different dealerships around after I get it.

It is possible you could find a sticky led strip and put it on their as a temporary fix.

Do you have the original armrest or the upgrade? The gap is part of the armrest upgrade to accommodate the light.

Judging by the pictures, doesn't really seem like the brightness is an issue.
