Hello everyone, I'm new here.
I bought a new 2018 Civic two weeks ago. I have a question about a weird high-pitched "pew-pew-pew" noise it makes when the engine starts.
Here's a video: The sound appears to come from the left side of the dashboard. It happens about a second after the engine is started, repeats about 10 times and stops.
Does anyone know what it is and if it's normal? Thanks in advance!

That sounds like an emergency indicator. Take it back to the dealer and have them deal with it. It’s definitely under warranty.

It's brand new. I just wanted to see if it was something obvious before driving back to the dealer. Looks like I'll have to go.

Yes ,
We bougt 2 new Civic ( 2016 and 2018 ) never heard that.

It is strange that you did not hear that when the dealer show you how work all your car's feature before you go on the road. And the dealer did not talk about that.

Come back report please

That sounds like an aftermarket alarm...that's very odd. Definitely take it to the dealer.

I stopped by the dealer yesterday, they said it's some alarm malfunctioning, but didn't really know because their "alarm guy" is on vacation. It's not a big deal so I'll just take care of it when I go for the fist service.
