Hey all, I need some help.
I disconnected the negative terminal on my battery to do some work today, and when I went to reinstall it I am unable to tighten the T bolt down because it spins freely. Has anyone encountered this before and have a way to hold it in place while I tighten it down?
The bolt is so tight on the threads that whenever I try to turn it the whole bolt spins. This causes the bottom catch side to spin, which pushes against the terminal and pops the whole T-bolt out of the terminal.
Here's a picture of someone else's terminal with the T bolt missing. It's this same system. I can't figure out how to hold it in place while I tighten the bolt.
I'm nearly at the point of swapping the terminal. I don't know what to do. Putting a battery back on shouldn't be this hard lol
Edit: alright I just kept undoing the bolt and redoing it and eventually it just placed right. Literally lost 2.5 hours to a battery bolt holy
