Oh okay. Did you see the link I posted?

That person seems to be running the same setup but with D2 coilovers? They state no rubbing or anything but I guess 1 person isn't enough to guarantee that.
Probably has decent neg camber all around

I had 18x9.5 running OEM 235’s (stretched) lowered on swift springs. It would slightly rub on a really hard turn, wasn’t bad though.
You can do a 255/40 on an 8.5 no problem
255 or 245 you mean?

Is there something wrong with negative camber? Isn't it better for performance technically?
I’m saying you can do 255 on a 8.5.
Negative camber is good for racing to an extent and also helps alleviate rubbing

Hi all,

So I am looking to get aftermarket wheels soon. I am currently on stock suspension and stock brakes.

I will probably be using eibach proline kit to lower the car about an inch and probably a big brake system next year.

The 2 wheels I'm looking at are both similar but I am unsure in terms of fitment when all the mods are in.

AVID1 Av6 18x8.5 35 on
Firestone Firehawk As 225/45

vs

AVID1 Av6 18x9.5 24 on
Continental Extremecontact Dws06 245/35

Let me know if any of you have a similar setup, I'm mainly interest in the second one as it has a more aggressive offset and wider wheel.

Thanks!
Don't know about any of the other equipment but the Continental DWS are fantastic! Wear even, long tread life, good traction and low noise.

Do you know anything about the Cont. Extreme Contact Sport? Was considering those as well.

Sorry, never had them. I'm sure they are very good but don't last long as they probably have a soft compound.

Looks very clean ! Do you have rubbing or had any modifications done?

The ones I'm looking to get are the same but with +24 offset and 245/35.

That's why I was asking for how the lower aspect ratio and lower offset would work.

I go over a couple bridges daily that have decent drops. I was rubbing before I lowered. I did the fender tab mod and it's been fine since

That setup is going to poke. It might kick up a lot of stuff onto your finish even with some camber to tuck the tops

If that's the look you want go for it. Post pics when you get it! :headbang:

Yeah this is the stuff I need to know haha. What's the fender tab mod?

Man that sucks, you can't do much to avoid the rocks kicking up eh? I really dig the poke setup though : (

You know that the lower the offset, the more aggressive the wheel, right ? Like it will stick out the fender

Yeah, +24 isn't that insane, like there's worse than that ofc like + 10.

So I thought maybe I can get by with not having to roll fenders and still have an aggressive setup.
