I was in the middle of changing my fog light bulb and found this nut when pulling back the plastic. It’s a 17mm size nut.

I have never done suspension work.
Only engine mods
Drop in k&n
Hondata
Type r exhaust.

now I wonder if its an exhaust nut but I thought those were 14mm size.

last other service I did was for CVT oil change but that would be just a drain plug I would assume.

typically I wouldn’t be alarmed if it was just a small screw but this looks important

Looks like suspension, probably got drop in that area when it was being built from the factory. If your the original owner you should be good... never hurts to take a peak under the car.

Ill jack up the car tomorrow and check it out. I open the hood and didn’t see any missing there in the suspension area. I am the original owner on the car. Probably right maybe just someone dropping a nut during build out. But oddly enough the nut looks used.

Yeah, I'd be getting under there and having a good nosey around before I'd drive it again. It might be nothing but it might also be something.

Did you change out the front pipe? I'd check exhaust bolts while you're at it.

Only changed the exhaust. I looked under where the exhaust bolts on. Screws are smaller. Got 62000 miles on it haven’t heard anything wierd cars sounds the same as new. Only guess I have now is it flung up from a car on the free way and into the side from the grille.

Yeah, I did some exhaust work today and the stock nuts/bolts are 14mm. I have some aftermarket bolts on another car that are 17 which is why I thought that.

No worries still a good guess. Brought it to a mechanic friend today and just had him take a quick peak on his full lift no missing bolts on the exhaust. I think it must of flung up in there or when just getting my oil changes at Honda maybe one of the mechanics had it stuck on their skin and fell off. ?‍♂ Guess I’ll never know.
