Did you reach the air duct behind the dash and put a piece of adhesive foam to stop the plastic baffle from moving around? I had exactly the same rattle and it went away after this job.

This part is behind the glove boxe, mine is loose too. It did not rattle for now, I'm better to add a big piece of air foam

All I can think about is that it's a cable inside that vibrates and hit the sides of something. Maybe you'll need to take the thing apart and add foam everywhere and make sure the cable are tied in properly. You can try your luck with the dealership as well. But probably won't do much unless they know exactly how to solve the problem without making new ones.

Have it too. Sounds like it's coming from my center air vents. Only happens at around 1500 RPM, and drives me crazy.

Ok so I figured out it’s coming from this box, if I pull down on the round part while revving it the noise stops. Can anybody identify this part?

Depends on the perspective. Is that the center console as viewed from the passenger side footwell?

Figured it out, this is the heater core I might just contact my dealer and see if they will replace it.

Just curious - would you possibly be able to point out where you pried on to remove the panel that covers that area? I've broken down my center console several times, but I've never messed with that particular trim area.

Four screws along the top by the latch for the glove box and then one on each lower corner. Then take off the panel on the right by the door by prying gently. After this panel is off you can see in behind the larger piece where the clips are. Just gently pry and it pops off. Took 5 min.

It looks like the heater core is one massive unit, wouldn't replacing that thing require the whole dash to be basically torn apart??

I hope not, it looked pretty accessible from where I was but I couldn’t see the mounting points.
