I have the stage 2 22lb flywheel. i currently have 5k miles already on this clutch. Its daily friendly. The clutch is stiff but its not too stiff or too light. The engagement is smooth and its grabs very quick. Once you get used to it gets pretty light. The pedal does engage low when you first install it. Im running tsp stage 2 fbo no problem. I rarely have lockouts and i can
definitely shift fast. I don’t have my cdv removed. This is probably the best aftermarket clutch on the market for our cars. I thought the design of the pressure plate was weird because it was missing 3 chunks but i guess its the way it was designed. There is some chatter but its barely noticeable.

Curious as to why you say this?
I have mines removed and I can say the engagement is more controlled and drivability did improve on normal driving but when it comes to driving hard you can’t just let go of the clutch fast you have to ease it off like driving normally. There’s to much drivetrain shock, it even chirps on third I feel like if you wanna be dumping the clutch leave it on

im pretty sure removing the cdv reduces the life of the transmission.
Yup if you don’t know how to probably engage the clutch it definitely does

Its all about the driver. Cars for decades didn't have cdv's without issues. It's all about preference. If the car is driven hard all the time the cdv won't be the saving grace for the trans.

The guys convinced me that Competition
clutch is a good option and I just ordered
a Stage 2 with a 22 lb flywheel.
I may not get it installed right away but
it will be here when I am really sick of the
harshness of the FX 300.

You'll love it believe me! Mine is still going strong and I think this is the best clutch on the market for our cars.

Why is it harsh ? I’m curious because I was going for that clutch at first

The pedal is still hard even after 15000km and the
engagement point is brutal because it is on 1 or 2 mm.
On tuesday, I went to RD Turbo in Montreal for adjusments.
Richard, the boss and excellent tuner, who drive hundreds
of cars a year, found my clutch impleasant and not very
user-friendly.
And this despite the fact that I had the Sirimoto N1 installed.
The only positive point, for the moment, is that it supports
a lot of torque.

Factory Flywheel a bit toasty, the clutch material is still pretty good! 50k kms tuned on Hondata +9, driven spiritedly and tracked a few times.

Comp Clutch Stage 2 with 22lbs Flywheel, PRL SS Line, KZ CMC, and Amsoil Synchromesh

Folks who have installed the kit already, did you guys use the supplied Pilot Bearing?

There's many posts about the CTR Retrofit option that say that this Civic transmission doesn't need to add it.
