The SHO was very close to my car prior to getting an Si. I couldn't handle 35K and poor gas mileage. It is a fun car to drive. I can't imagine you lost by much...

Stock they aren't really fast (high 13's at 103 or so). Is something done to it?

Not that fast? Bone stock twin turbo V6 it's the displacement....from a roll a Taurus Sho would smoke a Type R.

“Its the displacement...” do you think all semi trucks will smoke the type-r from a roll or only the ones with a twin turbo setup and lots of displacement?

They are quick for a land yacht. They weigh 4300+ pounds and make 300'ish WHP. The TT V6 does give it a nice broad powerband though.

I am not saying it couldn't win from a roll, but it shouldn't really be walking you.

Was it from a dig? If so, makes perfect sense. I’m sure it would be different if you did a higher mph roll. Anyways, cool comparison though. Not often you hear of a race like this.

I'd like to hear a daily life comparison. The SHO is likely a bit more friendly to the daily driver, and they are quite different sedans but I'd like to hear about some pros/cons stuff. I love the heated steering wheel on the Taurus.

The Taurus is better for Daily driving for sure. it has heated and cooled seats, a whole lot of creature comforts that the Civic Type R doesn't have. To Be honest i love driving the Type R over the Taurus SHO though. The Shifting alone gets me all giddy love this car. They did it right with this gearbox
