I’ve started to notice that my halfshaft bearing seal on the passenger side is leaking MTF. ***Edit: Bearing grease, not MTF*** I think that is what it is called.

Here is a picture after I already wiped the oil off of it (oops). The aluminum belly pan had some standing fluid on it as well.

I think I need to get some MTF tomorrow and pop the check bolt.

I’ll follow up once I find out more or can take a pic with oil actually dripping from it.

Found some threads discussing the same issue. I guess there is no way MTF gets to that support bearing.

It is likely grease getting hot and seeping out of the bearing.

If the grease is a fluid at room temp, then that is not a good sign, as it means it has broken down

@oldfart I’m having the same issue, can you clarify on what you mean by broken down? Is it something I can refill or add new grease to or anything

Has to be replaced. Do you still have warranty? If not just keep driving until you start having issues from it.

Think it’s probably better to replace the who axle? Does the drivers side usually leak also?
