Great write up. I think I’ll grab one. Seems to be better than the cheap $150 ones all over eBay, but not as good as the Phoenix brand head units. I can live with that. 👍🏾
I've heard good things about Phoenix, but for the price, this is more than enough for me. $450 vs $230 (if you buy from US seller) and it does everything you need - Carplay, google maps, youtube, sound is good, specs are great, all plug and play, pretty fast etc... Just doesn't feel like Phoenix is that much better tbh... and yes, it is definitely better than those $100-$150 radios

Thanks man! I appreciate it. I didn't want switchbacks so I custom ordered them, contacted eBay seller so they had to make some adjustments. I kinda liked the color of old Depos, matching headlight lens and body color, these stand out more and most important they are bright!

Added trunk cargo hook for bags, it is not OEM, I got it off eBay for $8, works great, might get another one for another side if needed

Finally replaced OEM mats with Maxliners and added trunk mat, I'm wondering if this is legit maxliner or fake one, trunk mat doesn't have any badges, driver and passenger side mat badges are pilling off... I mean they fit and look great, just curious

Also finally cleaned the dash after installing my new HU, just need to open that part again and redo wiring , photos suck... I'm too lazy to bring my DSLR...

Picked up my DC strut bar, and wow, such a difference compared to Megan racing, steering wheel now feels "heavier" and gives much more feedback, didn't have any issues when installing, now time to get rid of my OEM tires and steelies and get something better

Finally got my trunk arm covers installed, just took me 2 months lol, very easy to install, just need two holes on each side and extra clips and done, +55 points to karma
P.S. Pics are blurry due to my poor DSLR skills :( Still learning

While I was doing this mod for a fee for mostly NIssan/Infiniti owners, I decided to finally try it in my car :)
Got this BOSE subwoofer off Infiniti with two 2 ohm woofers in it, "box" is ported with built in amp...
and here we go, all disassembled
IMG_1443.JPG

Amp is pretty much junk now and along with wiring, but I never cut them, in case anyone want to revert it back
IMG_1451.JPG

Subs are pretty small and lightweight, you can see through lol, I mean, what do you expect from factory systems?
IMG_1454.JPG

IMG_1455.JPG

Next is to prepare it for sound deadening,

IMG_1456.JPG

Box is flimsy and thin, so more you sound deadening is better
IMG_1457.JPG

IMG_1458.JPG

IMG_1459.JPG

Now wiring, since subs are single voice coil 2 ohm and we have two of those, we need to wire them in series to achieve 4Ohm at the amplifier, didn't bother with 8-10 ga wires, just used what I had, 16ga speaker wire, since it is only about a 3ft total so no big deal.
Jumper

IMG_1470.JPG

Gasket for subs, since I destroyed factory ones

IMG_1468.JPG

And done, just need to put back the cover, which is also sound deadening applied, and we can test it in my Civic once I get amp from skar audio, ordered 350.1D at 4Ohm it pushes 150 watt rms, which is more than enough for these subs and wiring from knukonceptz
unfortunately spare tire needs to go in order to fit this in the spare tire compartment, but I'll just threw it in the trunk.
Don't expect shaking windows, but it will definitely add that missing low end, plus it was cheap project for my own use :)

Not much going on with the car, just small things here and there...

Got my Suma Performance rear view mirror, tired of that long Broadway mirror
Before
IMG_2682.JPG

After
IMG_2685.JPG

One thing I didn't like about it, the fact that it uses very thick double sided tape in the back, mirror sticks out more than I prefer... need to take it off and replace it with thinner and stronger tape

Also removed front side non ceramic 40% tint and replaced it with 55% nano Ceramic tint and did the windshield 70%, much better... will be replacing back at some point.

Also ordered OEM fog light kit, horn upgrade, touch up paint, OEM door visors from College Hills and Suma side mirrors from @Unity Performance , can't wait to get them :D

And made appointment for local detailing shop for full in and out 2 day car wash including ceramic coating and PPF in some areas... should've done this 5 years ago LOL
