I selected one pic to post and it posted multiple pics lol. Idk what happened
Haha it happens. I thought you wanted to charge us for your sources!

Anyways, nice build man! I'm too liberal with my spending... Only have ceramic tint, audio upgrades, LED lighting upgrades, new steering wheel & shift knob, and mudflaps and I'm already over $1500!

Love the build! Nothing wrong those priorities, I love the gentle improvement in all areas: power, handling, braking, aesthetics, etc. Very clean! Any further plans with the build?

she’s done for now until I can find the limits of the car. Have my 3rd trackday booked in a month. I also bought my wife a mk7 gti so gonna do a 5k budget as well. Then maybe I’ll do a real unbiased comparison of the two cars lol

Love it! Really nice purpose-built canyon carver/track toy.

Will you consider replacing the factory intercooler? Or is it not a concern at the moment?

Awesome build! How do you like new brakes in compare to OEM?
initial bite on the stock pads is much better but I will be looking into new pads after the stoptechs.

I’m good for now since I haven’t run into any issues. My wife has been wanting me to mod the GTI so I’m already picking up parts for it.

I had the front fenders shaved my a couple mm and also sanded down the inside of my side markers. I was getting rub on aggressive cornering
Thank you! I feel like everyone on the internet is like “18x11 +22, slammed on coils, no rub” haha.

Hey guys...

Coming up on my 1 year mark 16k miles and thought I’d share my build which had canyons/track as the focus. With a limited budget of under 5k I am truly happy with where the car is now. I felt as much as I would love more power I’m not really a straight line racing kinda of guy so I thought I’d focus on the cars amazing chassis and build a nice tight cornering machine.

Here is my mod list....

Swift Spec R springs
SPC rear camber arms
Eibach RSB
Type R center brace
Ultra racing strut bar
27 won rmm
Greddy front lip
Verus rear diffuser
Turbo10th duckbill spoiler
Acuity pedal placement
Acuity shortshifter/bushings
Gram Light 57dr 18x9.5 +38
Federal RS-Pro 255/35/18 tires
PRL cold air intake
Ktuner v1.2 with TSP stage 1
R1 concepts slotted rotors (carbon)
Stoptech pads
Motul Rbf600 brake fluid

Are you still using OEM calipers?
I am. Since I’m still near stock hp levels I felt like I didn’t need to invest too much on that end even though I know a it would help. After picking up a mk7 with golf r calipers I def want to upgrade at some point. The mk7s brakes are pretty amazing.
