Just wanted to share a few notes on this install.
  • These are sadly NOT a direct swap for the hatchback. You have to modify the mounting bracket on the fog light (remove material) as well as lightly modify where it mounts onto the bumper cover. (remove "locating nubs" that are there to align the OEM fogs).
  • You have to mount the fog light a little above the screw holes the OEM fog lights use for it to align properly with the shroud.
  • Removal of the bumper is highly recommended. It is possible to remove the large grill/shroud that surrounds the fog light by accessing it via the "drop down panels" behind the fog lights on the bottom of the car but it's a huge pain and was not worth it in my opinion.
  • Don't forget to aim them before closing everything back up. One of mine was aimed WAY high out of the box. They are easily adjustable with an 8mm socket / nut driver / etc.
Here are a few photos of the output...

Glad I found this post. I've been looking for a change in foglights, based on these photos they look almost too bright! I have the factory led headlights (Canadian SI) these might be too bright in partnership with the already bright headlights.
How have they lasted? Do you get flashed at often when you're using them?

Thanks!

I don't have that car anymore (Si now) but I don't recall ever getting flashed. The cut-offs in the projectors keep the light out of the eyes of oncoming traffic if you properly adjust them. Definitely not "too bright." :)

Thanks! I'll have to put them on my wish list.

Independent fog light mod: jump 2 wires on the bcm under the left part of dash from 2 connectors. fog relay (-) wire, and Fog switch wire.
install a relay for the connection and an add a circuit to a fuse to turn on relay to activate independent fog lights when car is on. (fogs will stay on if you just jump the 2 wires without relay and forget to turn off switch)
you also cant turn off fogs if low beams are on. i found out on mine that when both fog and low beams are on, the fog relay negative wire turns from 12v to ground because the bcm controls the ground circuit of the relay. giving a constant ground for the fog light switch with the mod, not being able to turn them off. The only way to prevent that would be a one way diode to allow the flow of electricity one way. i thought of an led in series, but then the relay wouldn't get a full 12 v.
red is + obviously, green is ground, which is what the bcm looks for when fog light switch is on, but ground would be locked from yellow jump wire connected to fog relay ground.

I think they're pretty bright but if i was to do it all again I would just install some Diode Dynamic SLF bulbs

I wouldn’t think any leds would work well in the stock housing. I bought some projectors for the fogs. They have a Highbeam flapper so I’ll be putting the solenoid on the Highbeam circuit and getting a drl+FOG+Highbeam kit from alejandroads123

You don’t need the kit, just bridge 2 wires on your body control module under the dash, (east to pull out under) and you have FULL independent fog lights. To prevent having to turn off the fog lights every time you turn off the car, install a relay from ebay with a fuse tap. Did it on mine I spend prolly 10 bucks max. I have stay bright drl module too. As well as yellow/white switchback led bulbs.

I still don’t know how I feel about the yellow, especially how narrow that beam is. How does it look looking down the road? Could you get a pic at night without the low beams looking down the road?

they are bright on the roads as well, you can see a noticeable difference when you turn the fog lights off/on when driving with the low beams. they make a big improvement over the stock setup.
