Do you aim the fogs from close the wall till both are align? or from 25 feet like a headlight?Just wanted to share a few notes on this install.
Here are a few photos of the output...
- These are sadly NOT a direct swap for the hatchback. You have to modify the mounting bracket on the fog light (remove material) as well as lightly modify where it mounts onto the bumper cover. (remove "locating nubs" that are there to align the OEM fogs).
- You have to mount the fog light a little above the screw holes the OEM fog lights use for it to align properly with the shroud.
- Removal of the bumper is highly recommended. It is possible to remove the large grill/shroud that surrounds the fog light by accessing it via the "drop down panels" behind the fog lights on the bottom of the car but it's a huge pain and was not worth it in my opinion.
- Don't forget to aim them before closing everything back up. One of mine was aimed WAY high out of the box. They are easily adjustable with an 8mm socket / nut driver / etc.
