I've been itching to switch out the stock halogens because 1. They look fugly compared to the DRLs and 2. After using bi-xenons on the BMW for so long, I found it difficult to adjust my eyes to the stock halogen lumens.

I decided to pick up the Morimoto Elite HID kit from Prolightz during black friday. I thought I would share with you guys the results.

The package included:
1 * H8/H9/H11 HD Relay Harness
1 * Morimoto XB H8/ H9/ H11-B 6500K (pair)
1 * Morimoto XB35 Ballasts AMP (Pair)
1 * Morimoto Elite H11 HID System

I decided to use the Relay Harness system instead of standalone canbus and hooked it up directly to the battery instead of the fusebox method shown here

Overall the install was not difficult, and I've provided pictures for where I zip-tied the HD relay and ballasts. Hope this will help any future purchasers of this kit.

Do they match with the DRLs? If not, then what temp should I buy? (35Watt)

They don't match the DRLs. It's slightly more blue. 5500k is what you'd want

Does this kit come with an adapter or do you have to splice? I like the throw of them

The morimoto kit comes with everything you need for plug and play. The most "difficult" part is just hooking up the relay harness to the terminals on the battery (or fusebox)

Could you take a picture of your battery? I'd like to see how it has to hook up.

You're gonna have to remove the terminal nuts completely to get access to them (the relay terminals are O shaped, not C shaped). Unfortunately the terminal cover will not close completely with the connection in place so I just taped it down. In retrospect the MUCH easier way is to hook it up to the fusebox terminals, but I was too lazy to fix it. The HD relay comes with the proper fuse (at the bottom of the picture).

Would have been much cleaner if i didn't install the relay. I ran the relay wire along the firewall. it's kinda a hard to describe ill take some pics and upload them.

oh what do you mean fix the fogs. Please let me know what is wrong with them. I'm clueless. Thanks
