More New Type R Cars Arriving

Was driving by the Halifax Auto port today and seen they were unloading a boat with more Type R cars not sure how many yet as they we in the middle of unloading will get some better pictures later.

Looks like they're 2018's. Surprised at how many CW there are. At least Honda isn't restricting supply to create artificial demand.

For some perspective, consider that Honda is a much bigger auto company than Subaru. Also consider that the STi is a super niche vehicle, even more expensive than a Type R.

Guess how many new Type R's are listed nationwide, even after a surge of deliveries this week: 268. I've been watching for a couple of months and I've never seen higher than 290 or so.

Guess how many new STi's are listed nationwide: 1452

5x as many STis as CTRs available. You don't want to know how many more Civics there are for sale than WRX/Imprezas. It's a lot. And they still don't discount the STi much or at all. We'll need to see considerably more production before shops are all offering MSRP and some are offering actual discounts on the CTR.

Rumors are its been added to the USDM's list for 2019. Was hoping this might confirm that.

Sounds about right. A few weeks ago I couldn't find any near me. Now seemingly every dealership in Southern Ontario has one or two in stock. I told myself I'd wait for the 2019MY to come out before pulling the trigger. But this may be too tempting...
