Hey guys!

Long story short, I ended up trading in my current 17 for a 2020 boost blue that im picking up this Thursday! VERY Exciting.

I have a few things from my 17 i'd like to switch over, mainly catless PRL Dp and HKS legamax.

Now my question is, should i follow a small break in period? or just install everything few days after I pick up my new R!

My 17 R when i picked it up had about 11,000km's. So looking for anybody who modded their car shortly after pick up!

thanks!

I’d wait until 10,000 km just to make sure it is not a lemon

immediate modding = big risk, small reward

unless you are willing to foot the bill on any serious defect

If you're willing to uninstall the mods for any dealer maintenance/warranty work, then it should be fine. I installed stuff right away, but currently noticing me getting 4th gear wall/lockout and I'm only at 200 miles.

I used to get this but then I changed the trans fluid and it hasn't happened since.

I'd put 1,000-1,200 miles on it and then go for it.

Just put on the exhaust then wait a few thousand before tuning it for the rest. Then you have some sound and can see how the car is before you start wrenching on it.

I would recommend waiting until after the break-in period before doing any mods like most have mentioned.

I personally waited until after the first oil change before going crazy with the mods. It also gave me some time to appreciate the car stock.

Did you put 18's on it or did it come from the dealer with that on?
