i am using the trip counter milage. i just never reset the trip.
others are using math per fill.
some others say they do 50mpg and never say how the did that.

i know i can do kind of milage by resetting once i start a hyway trip downhill.

You must be driving it pretty hard only to get 7.5L/100km. I'm averaging 5.5L/100km in over 6000kms of mixed city/highway.
Not sure. I shift at the green shift lights. Is that pushing it hard?

Yall with these high numbers do yall just reset the mpg then drive to work and say "I average 41mpg" leaving out the fact you drove less than 20miles. Some dude said he did 50mpg lol foh man.
The numbers I've stated are based on average per tank, and it's consistent every tank full. I've never had 50 mpg overall - although I've seen it. I did squeeze out 47.5 mpg on a 4 hr trip (and I filled the tank and did the math...and it was correct).

I've outgrown the phase (mostly) of having to beat everyone to the next red light...not to say I still don't have fun driving.

I'm pleased with the MPG's I've been getting. Over the summer driving very carefully on my 70 mile round trip i've avg'ed 46 a couple of times. My running avg is in my sig. I haven't reset my trip A since new and its only about 1mpg high but fuelly isn't taking the first ~500 miles into account.

My numbers posted here are per tank MPG (~41-43 mpg depending upon the temperature outside) and are not calculated by the vehicle.

The green tach lights I think come on at the 4000 + rpm mark. That’s about 1000rpm higher than I shift. My mpg is normally around 6.3/100km ever since I installed the Michelin PS4s, and I have a hella lots fun driving it even at this low mpg. Pre summer tire I was normally generating high 5L/100km

Crap. I have the 4S too. I have never seen 5. I have seen 6.3. Am I driving it hard? Or is there something up with the car that I have the shop look at it? Seeing such numbers now has me worried that something is wrong with the car...

i shift in the 4k range regularly and don't get bad gas milage.
how you get to 4krpm is the deciding factor.
if its on the floor or close to it then it will use a lot more gas than quietly gently getting to that speed.
try adjusting your acceleration to see how hard you are driving up to 4k shifts.
see how slowly you can do it and then push it.
find a middle point between and see how it effects milage long term.

No nothing is wrong with your car, sounds like everything is just fine. And I don't think shifting at the green tach lights isn’t driving too hard at all. The car was made to be driven like that if you wish to drive it that way. Like I said, since I installed the amazing PS4 tires, my usual mpg has been around the 6.3 - 6.6L/100km mark. My tires psi are 38 F/36R and I almost never see the green rpm lights when I shift. I almost always shift at or below 3500 rpm. Plus I don't really drive much in the city, mostly suburbs and no highway. Keep in mind that these sticky summer tires will yield worse fuel economy compared to the all seasons. After installing my PS4s I waved bye bye to the high 5 liters I got with the crappy all seasons. But I don't care in the least, as these tires have transformed the car so much.
BTW, my si is currently put away till spring...can't wait!

Attempt to ignore the heinous amount of dust. This was awhile back and the car is much cleaner now. The first trip was a cold engine, 1 mile hike to the gas station. The next trip was a 10 mile ride at 60 mph toward town. Weather was warm. 89 octane.

I reset my trip A every time I fill up, and my trip B is about 500 miles after I got the car, I'm at about 6k miles on the odo averaging 26-28 mpg. This past weekend I took a 120 mile trip and averaged 40 mpg on 93 octane 65mph the whole way, couple red lights on the way.

First of all, dude wtf is with all the dust lol

Secondly, mpg of a 10 mile trip is hardly helpful. There's no way in hell you could get that kind of mileage over an entire tank. That's cherry picking at its finest.

These are trips to and from work. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to get about 40mpg over this entire tank. This requires me to use cruise control for 90% of my commute for work at 60-65 mph. People hate me on the highway. I only drive like this for work. On my days off, I'm lucky to get 30 mpg.
