I have yet to achieve a tire squeal in the few days I've driven mine thus far. Too much grip!

Did it look noticeably different? Does this create more protection from curb rash, I wonder? I should have considered this...
looks beefier and yes, a bit more protective

With the wheels and proportion of the car, they almost look like balloons lol! I can't believe going from a 235 to a 245 made that big of a difference in appearance.

Ya, the tread width is substantially more and squared off at the outer edges.

I purchased these same tires from Costco about 10k miles ago and absolutely love them. I've exceeded 100 mph a few times without any vibration.
I feel the ride is little harsher with Michelin's compared to stock tires. May be because the tires are more focused on sport aspect

My pilot sport a/s 3+ are excellent on my Type R, no problem at all and that is even with the fact that I got them ever so slightly used with a few miles on them. (they were too big and rubbed on my friends car, so after a few days he took them back off and sold em to me)
What size are they?

I think you're right, the michelins are geared towards higher performance and the carcass is quite a bit stiffer than the goodyears. Better grip has side effects sometimes.
