Bigger wheels doesn't mean higher power. The turbos are complex engineering stuff.

I worked on development of diesel turbos for over an year. The scroll case of compressor and turbine side plays a lot of role in terms of efficiency. Also, the throat diameter/opening of turbine inlet etc.

Yeah I mean W1 turbo been proven to make great power for that wheel size. The pureturbo wheels are larger and has more lag as to what DRob said it’s more lazy

Congrats on the purchase @86salmon. It is a pleasant surprise being away from the site a little bit and coming back to see the you have purchased this turbo. Looking forward to your results (or observation since no tracks are open). This is really interesting.

I wish I had a baseline pull before the install to see what actual gains are. Either way. It'll be data once it's in and a work in progress

Thank you @LilToTo17 ! Of course after I just dumped a bunch of money into stocks, since prices are so low.

I hope they are having a CoronaVirus sale on it.

Compressor wheel inlet: 39,40mm
Compressor wheel outlet: 49,00mm
Turbine wheel exducer: 36,70mm
Turbine wheel inducer: 40,00mm

Per MHI and Full Race
Hmmm, mine is supposedly an equivalent with the TD03 specs in terms of size.

However my dimensions are:
Compressor wheel inlet: 41mm
Compressor wheel outlet: 51mm
Turbine wheel exducer: 34.9mm
Turbine wheel inducer: 40mm

However, my car is a CVT and non-SI as I live in Asia. So the results were limited but there was an increase in torque and power throughout the rev range except 5500-6500 rpm. I will be looking forward toward the results of your car.

How much boost are you planning to push and what tuning platform are you using?

The highlighted part in your quote is very interesting to me. I thought the whole powerband there would be gains, including the topend rpm range.

Planning on maxing out at 25lbs
Using Ktuner

Install went well

Got afr under control but ran out of time. Going to be tweaking for power next week. Also limiting torque delivery in since I'm still on stock clutch

Hopefully get things sorted next week and on a dyno shortly after
