has anyone ordered the Megan racing strut bar?
Sounds good, thanks!I’ll post better pictures when I do my install
Does it touch any any hoses or cables? Or does it clear everything? It arrived today! Install took about 10 minutes.
It came wrapped up pretty well, including a plastic shrink wrap over the polished aluminum bar to protect it from scuffs and scratches.
As you can see in the pics, it clears the clutch fluid reservoir. It looks like there is enough room to get to the battery terminal and disconnect it, but there may not be enough room to actually remove the battery while the bar is installed.
I’ve had my SI sedan since last September , and have 22k miles on the clock. I took the car out for a test drive and could feel the difference. Much stiffer , reduced body roll noticeably , steering felt much tighter and more responsive because of the reduced body roll. It also seemed to me like I could feel the road a lot more.
completely missed that lol thanksI think the negative side battery cable touches, if it doesn’t it’s very close. If it does I’m sure it can be secured down and out of contact. Other than that it doesn’t touch anything.
The picture in the first post of this thread shows it installed on a car with the 2.0 and it doesn’t appear to be close to touching.
How does it fit the 2.0? Does it touch any of the cables or hoses? I’ve read that some bars touch and burn through when the engine bay heats up.Got mine too, fits a bit tight, but overall very good quality , didn't really make a huge difference
