Bad ass! Looking forward to progress with that port injection add on, could help longevity even on more stock power levels.

Is their a difference between and L15b7 CVT engine vs an L15B7 Si engine. I meant if one were to swap a CVT Motor in an SI but still use it as a manual if that makes sense? Like say an Si motor blew and they bought a CVT motor as a replacement to build and use? @MAPerformance

With the right tunes and making sure nothing is out of sorts it ought to be. Maybe some people have bad tunes or using the wrong type of gas
Simply tuning the stock turbo and having the torque too low will do that. The upgraded turbos, you can release the torque curve more easily. Torque throws rods...

The base model and the Si do have a few differences we have found so far, Block castings are different, rods are different (Only in material it seems), pistons are different (Compression ratio), intake cams are different, and honestly im sure there are more as we keep going with these things.

So say a person who blew there motor and is building a new one takes a cvt engine and puts it onto their Si. Would they make less power even though they are sleeved darton sleeves and honed by motorworks inc, forged je pistons, runbc forged rods? I know the cvt engine has a different fuel pump and cams?

Honestly, there are so many variables there its a hard question to answer.

Base answer, no, they wont make less power because of the block. But, there are things that will be different. Alternator mounting is different, No oil squirters on the EX block, and a few others we have found so far. Some make the SI block a better option, some will have zero up or down change.

I dont want to shoot myself in the foot here, so let me respond carefully lol.

We are working VERY hard on it, we are in the final stretch, but part of the final stretch is validating every little thing. That takes time, and that takes the willingness to change things we may have already been "done" with. I would love to say it will be released in a few weeks as that was the goal. But, until we are knocking at that door, I dont want to get anyone's hopes up! We have had a lot of great feedback, a lot of people waiting, and lot of people pushing us to get it done, and we thank you all for that!
