"MHI TD03" is the turbo. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It's a mitsubishi turbo.
That is actually very interesting...I wonder if is common in the car industry to use other manufacturer's parts...I always thought Honda builds all their engine in house including all parts....

Yes, it is. These days even designs of entire subsystems are getting done by suppliers. I'd be very surprised if Honda isn't getting things like Rain Sensing wipers (sensing/logic) and Honda Sensing (again, sensors and logic) in large part as vended items. The work is getting too specialized and the investment/R&D too big for any manufacturer to do it all themselves. Much cheaper, easier, faster, to use the work of others.

Toyota is way bigger, and has way more resources, than Honda.

Mitsubishi is pretty much the de facto manufacture when it comes to turbos. Subaru, BMW, Chrysler.. and a lot of others all uses them.

Yup. I definitely don't mind having a Mitsubishi made turbo (and not Honda made) in the car. If they're good enough for that many OE applications, they must be reliable.

Mitsubishi is a big corporate family. There really isn't an American analog. Suspect but don't know, that the audio products are from Mitsubishi Electric Co (MELCO). Available info suggest the turbo is from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI).

Mitsu makes good turbos IMHO. Another big supplier is KKK which is used by VW and Mazda. All of them in factory form have been reported to hold oil/boost well north of 200K.

Modify the PCV or PSI, and things could become quite different.
