make calls if source is not on bluetooth

So I finally tried bluetooth as a different way to listen to music, but had a question. Let's say my phone's bluetooth is paired with my car, but I am on a different source on the infotainment system (example: listening to Sirius radio). Can I still make and receive calls or does the source on the infotainment have to be on bluetooth in order to make/receive calls?

Yes, you can make/receive calls no matter what source you're on when paired via BT.
