I posted this in the Audio/Electronics section, but figured it was more appropriate here:

So, not realizing Maintenance Minder was a thing til about a week ago, when I joined the forum (to figure out how to replace my air filter. Super easy, btw). I realized that I hadn't paid attention to this. I have just gone to my local Firestone every 5k miles (using full synthetic) and rotated the tires as well. Same thing I did for my previous Civic.

We, lo and behold, Maintenance Minder is out of sync now and not sure how to sync it up, or if I can trust it anymore due to the techs at Firestone not resetting/acknowledging the work done.

What should i do?

Maintenance minder is easy to reset by yourself.

Right, but is that what I should do? I worry I might get it out of sync, thus not getting the services I need, when I need them.

If you only reset oil change you don't have to be worry about other service.

What do we do with our car with no Service Reminder ?

IMO Service reminder could be useful but it is there for dealer to make money.
