I have 2017 EX-T CVT Sedan with 27,000 miles, which is 4 years old
I recently got "Maintenance Due Soon" message with B12 code
This code means I have to perform following maintenance:

B
Replace engine oil and oil filter
Inspect front and rear brakes
Inspect these items:
• Tie rod ends, steering gear box, and boots
• Suspension components
• Driveshaft boots
• Brake hoses and lines (including ABS/VSA)
• All fluid levels and condition of fluids
• Exhaust system #
• Fuel lines and connections #

1 Rotate tires
2• Replace air cleaner element, • Replace dust and pollen filter, • Inspect drive belt

For the 2 part of code, I have changed filters by myslef
My dealership is asking $139 for B1 part

I was planning to perform only oil change and tire rotation, since I feel all these inspections are not necessary at just 27,000 miles. Plus I have done Brake Fluid Change 1 year ago (at 3 year mark).

What is your opinion?

Tell them to only do the things that you want since you already did a few things or changes in the car. That’s what I usually tell my service advisor and they respect it.

You are right, it is a lost of money.

Some of the maintenance items are not based on mileage or driving habits, but rather, triggered by date/year. There are a couple that comes up every ~2 years.

If you have...for an example, changed the filter yourself already, and is not required, why should the dealership charge you for it?
