I just actually installed a set of Gram Light 57Transcend (Rev Limit Edition), which are a gloss black with red accent. I really wanted the black Project Kics with red caps, but they are very difficult to locate and ordering them takes a while. I went with the neo-chrome set, although I was very skeptical that they would be too flashy for me, but I ended up loving the look. To each his/her own I suppose. I will say that the quality of the Iconix is fantastic. Very impressed with the fit and finish. Best of luck on what you decide. Beautiful wheel choice you made, IMO.

For similar look to the L42, take a look into the Kics Leggdura Racing lug nuts (you might have to shop around for color and availability).

Cool thing about the aforementioned Kics R40 is the floating seat on the lug nuts. "They still use the floating seat mechanism that allows the lugs to properly seat and the free spinning bottom does not scratch the wheel."

I personally went with EZAccessory.com Black Acorn Tuner Lug Nuts (36 bucks shipped) to hold me over til L42 are available. I'm also undecided on red or black for Magnesium Blue TE37SL. Honestly with track days coming up, I'm not going to care about changing up my lug nuts unless I start to see wear from regular torquing, rotating, etc. In which case I'll buy something with floating seat.

Good luck, I'm sure we'll see installed pics soon! :drive:

Hi there,
I have the 57Transcend as well but the dark gunmetal with the same R40 Iconics, the lugs will screw in via hand tight but when I put the provided socket for the lock or lugs, the sockets will not go all the way in cause it will not fit in the hole and it's hitting the rim, if I was to proceed to tighten with the provided socket, it will definitely scratch the bottom part of each hole of the rim.

Sorry to hear that. Strange I do not have that issue with mine. Perhaps they changed the design slightly and the included socket walls aren’t quite as thin? Are your Rays the same size (19”)? Not that it should matter, but just curious.

You can't use OE lug nuts on aftermarket wheels. The seat of the lug nuts on aftermarket wheels are a different tapered angle. Guaranteed disaster...

Is there anyone in here that didn’t spend $200+ on lugs? Ballin on a budget so I’d like to get anything that’ll just hold my wheel on. I don’t care about looks, just functionality. Also getting 57dr’s but I just can’t blow $250 on some lugs..

I didn't run these with my 57's but I'm using them on my Titans.

Be forewarned, the finish isn't the strongest, and an impact will take it right off. Main reason I chose these (other than price) is that they are steel and the car is tracked. I'd personally never trust aluminum lug nuts.

Kics bull lock is roughly 50% cheaper and it’s still kics.
