Is it possible the dealer plugs in to the OBD to check for codes or updates and resets it? Maybe a reset of emissions monitors or other parameters puts the car into an initial learning mode. I'm new to this 16 Civic, but I've been modding and tuning cars and trucks for awhile (yes, I'm THAT old).
