Guys, I'm about to drop $200 for the overrated GTR Lighting LEDS. Someone stop me with pics and suggestions on your low-beams.

By the way, I read somewhere on here that LEDS don't work well on our SI's. Something about projection being better for HIDS?

Help.

Correct. LEDs are super bright up close, but their shine distance is pretty terrible.
I would go for HIDs for the low beam projectors.
And I would stick LEDs into the fog lamps

$200 for headlight bulbs?! You shouldn't need someone to talk you out of that; it is RIDICULOUS.

I've been eyeing the Philips Crystal Vision bulbs... sell me on these, though. Do they match the running lights? How's the output?
It's about the same brightness as the stock bulb. For me it is sufficient, since I also run my fog lights for extra brightness.

I sorta got cold feet when the HIDS came in. I was like... bruh, I’m gonna pay someone to do this shiii.

$100 install? The only thing he didn’t ask for was my left nut.

I went ahead and bought some zip ties and 3M double sided tape. Followed the instructions which is honestly easy asf. Disconnected the battery to hook on the positive and negative. BAM. It’s alive.

After I turned on the car, the menu screen said “Drive Carefully... System Initializig”
Dude, I lost my sh!t . Only to find out that you must drive the car literally 10-15 feet and everything goes back to normal.

I’ll post pics now of where I left the ballast and etc. later I’ll post the Stock vs HID.

Don’t judge me. I’ll hide the passenger wire soon.

What LED's did you go with in the fog lights?

LED are best for visibility to other drivers (hence your daylights are LED), HID is best for driver visibility without blinding folks (unless you drive a truck not designed for them). I added to Xentec Xenon HID kit and couldn't ask for more.

I went ahead and put a filter to show the light output of the OEM Halogen vs Morimoto HIDS. . . In conclusion, I wish my Si came with the LEDs from factory like Canada does.

There is a lot of throw on these HIDS but I’m disappointed in the color. The color and the absence of a sharp throw. Sh!t makes me miss my Corolla SE from last October. (Total Loss) Thanks for sharing guys! I’m looking into returning these $150 suckers for the perfect LED.
