I was cruising down Mulholland Highway today (Off Decker), and wound up with a blue Type R in front of me (had the triple center exhaust). I was following him down a twisty downhill section (40mph max) and was super impressed with what that car could do. I did not expect a FWD car to handle these types of turns.
FWIW I drive a 2zz MR2 Spyder @ 2000lbs and I usually have no problem on the downhill sections. I closed in on this dude but didn't have an easy time doing it, getting thrown around on curves. Definitely impressed with the new Type R's after seeing this. Not sure what tires he was on or what suspension magic this car uses for a car that weighs more than mine.
He/she had an instagram bumper sticker on the car, but my dashcam couldn't pick it up. Just trying to reach out if that person is a member on this board.
For reference I go by "scotched" on Spyderchat.
