Hey guys so i've been looking to replace these horrid all seasons. I've been considering Michelin pilot sport 4s, Hankook Ventus v12 evo2, Pirelli P zero neros and the new Yokohama ADVAN Apex v601. Any would be a massive upgrade but i wanted to hear your thoughts and experiences on the subject. For what its worth the Michelin's appear to be the best but also cost $100-$150 more then the others and thats with a $100 costco discount. What route would you take?

P.S As cheesy as it sounds I like the idea of the Yokohama's just because they are a Japanese tire. Matches the car. (hey these are toys after all so nonsensical factors make complete sense :)

Costco has $150 discount on Michelin tires starting 10/2. Best deal all year. Splurge on the PS4S. No brainer.

My wife just showed me the Costco flyer. That’s probably the route I’ll take

Seems kind of weird you would be comparing 3 summer tires and an all season. Do you need an all season or do you want summer tires?

The highest performing options in both categories are Michelin Pilot Sports, but they are also some of the most expensive.

Fuck all seasons. Even the cheapest summer tires beat the shit out of the most expensive all seasons.

A few weeks back I put Pilot Sport 4s on my coupe, and I am super happy with them. These Michelins are brilliant tires in every way, and well worth the price.

I bought new wheels and tires for the warmer months keeping my stock wheels and all seasons for colder months. I went with the General GMax RS. It’s an awesome affordable summer tire. No complaints so far.

The P Zero Nero is an all season. Maybe you meant to say P Zero Nero GT, which is a summer tire?

Tire marketing is absurd. You'd think they would want to have easily disambiguated products.

They way I make selections is I choose the highest end/highest performing option every time. If I can't afford or justify the price, I decide what I will pay then find the highest performing option at my selected price point.

Why would you want to deliberately buy an inferior product?

My one question: will upgrading to better tires make the Si any quieter?
Quieter?

quicker?
yes
Better grip =better acceleration
Better grip=better handling

overall better performance

I disagree. I have the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ on my Si and...

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ > Goodyear Eagle F1 Symmetric Summer tire.

I believe some tires out there are indeed designed to reduce road noise. Sometimes called "touring" or "comfort" tires. I think the more quiet and smooth-riding a tire is, the less performance oriented it will be, though.
