I dont believe so, its just a stored DTC that cannot be cleared. I think you need the Honda HDS tool.Does a misshift leading to an over rev throw a CEL?
Any shift that results in the engine over revving so any money shiftNow when y'all say miss-shift, are we talking like the "money shift", 1 - 2 - 1? I had done that once but bailed it back to neutral before it could reach higher that 6k rpms. Just trying to clarify
you might get a flash of the CEL, but Ive been told Honda can see it with the HDSAny clue if you can see the "overrev DTC" ? My buddy is getting his Snapon Solus updated to work with the 2017 models this week, Ill have to check.
I was on my way to the hospital once and in my panic missed a 4th shift and put her in two...now I think it only hit about 7500 before I caught it but not sure...lol. One time I mis-shifted a Focus 2.3 (bad shifter bushings), hit about 9000rpm. The CEL came on flashing, car went into limp. Had to restart it to get it to accelerate again. Wonder if the Honda does anything like that?
How many miles do you guys have on your si now?I've been trying to break ours with 28PSI daily, but no go so far.
