The morimotos hid kit I had was amazing in the rain, like haven't seen an aftermarket LED bulb beat it, and I love the current leds I have.

I've been running a Xenon Depot bulb with DDR ballasts for 4+ years now. They gave considerably better throw than the Kitana led I tried and they come in a variety of colors from 3500k 4000k 5000k and 6000k. I love the 4000k.

LED don't run hot enough to melt snow off of headlights like halogen or hid

I had Hikari LED's for a couple years before I did a full D2S HID retrofit.

LED's do have some pros (no warm-up time, less power draw, longer life). However, HID's are far superior for visibility, provided you have the right projector for it.

Living in Dallas, I thought I'd never have to worry with my LEDs and then the last 2 winters we have had major ice/winter storms and leds will in fact not melt ice on the headlights. I had to scrape it off.

You'll need the bulbs and ballasts, yes. Just a heads-up, the ballasts currently ship from China and take like 2 weeks to arrive. As for the installation, it's pretty straight forward. Bulbs plug into ballast, ballast plugs into OEM harness.
How is the set up running still? Do you happen to have the new links?

With lifetime warranty. Might have sold it to me… can you get pics of your headlights?
This is with the 5500k DDM bulbs

I have since switched to 4500k bulbs since I like the hint yellow. They're a little less blue than drl if matching is a concern
