Hello guys ! Today I received to the dealership the tailgate emblem for Type R Limited Edition with the inscription "Civic", in dark chrome.
The part number is 75722-TGH-R00.
It is made in Thailand.
The price was equivalent of 50 USD.
The emblem is darker in the picture than in reality.

Is darker than the "Type" portion of the Type R emblem?

I ripped my original Civic emblem off but I think I want to put one of these back on... Anyone got a guide to aligning it?

Also, anyone know where I can still pick one of these up? Looks like it's sold out everywhere.

There seems to be 08F20-TGG-000, but that includes the Honda emblems as well

First, you will need to measure the distance between the edges of the emblem and the edges of the tailgate or relative to certain landmarks, on a car that has the emblem installed at the factory, using a graduated ruler. Then, you have to measure on the tailgate of your car, and apply landmarks, using a marker (which can be wiped with alcohol), trying to apply the points without the support of the letters of the emblem to obscure your visibility at these landmarks . You can use an adhesive tape to link the points measured, for a better alignment too. Then, you can install the emblem almost identical like from the factory.
You can take measure from a picture too, but will be more difficult to transform the result at the real scale.
Good luck.

It is the same with the “Type“ R emblem.
I will take pictures after the installation.

As mentioned above, need to measure from spots on the trunk... but as far as spacing, the blue foam has it correctly spaced. Once you get the measurements for placement, stick it on with the blue foam.

Here is the post for replacing the civic lettering... but had the original lettering as a guide. Not doing it from zero.

Suppose it would still be easy enough, provided you had another civic side by side to compare and get it in the ballpark :)

Is the heeltoe one the same as what comes on the LE? I bought that one last year and I'm thrilled with it.

Apparently mine is from the Taiwanese domestic market. Definitely darker than the Type R badge but I think it looks good on CBP.

I carefully checked out the LE at the local dealership. The LE Civic is the same shade of black as the Honda Access one. The LE Civic emblem is made in Thailand while the Honda Access is made in Japan. Regardless, they're the same.
