I completely get that this thread was quite the joyride; but, the 2860r Gen2 would make about the power level he claimed on only 14psi and spool rather quickly. The idea that was trapped inside his head was putting together a "track" car and the lower power number & pressure make absolute sense. Having had a 28series turbo equipped on a 2.0L engine, I knew that the Top Tune was not the Track tune. Those are the things to keep in mind. On such a light vehicle to begin with, anything over 280-300hp on a 1.5L really won't live around a track for long. Big numbers the majority of the time are only from the Dyno and not what was actually programmed or feeling insecure on a highway about the car next to them.
Why this kid had a Focus RS and Mercedes C63 and chose to get an Si with a 1.5L is well past my understanding.
I will say that a 2860R can be tuned in more ways than anything below it for this model series and with less engine stress.
