Ktuner v2 screen turning off when plugged usb to laptop?

Hi everyone,
Ktuner v2

is it normal that when plugged into a laptop the ktuner v2 touch screen turns off and is not so responsive? Please see video file.

If there's no vehicle data coming through it assumed it's on USB only and tries to save power.
