My V2 stays plugged in and I've had no issues thus far. However, I have seen one or two posts on here saying theirs might have drained their battery. Jumper cables are good to keep on hand just in case

Not sure what this thread is asking, but i'll share my experience. I have my V2 plugged in 24/7, mounted on the windshield above the vent on the left by the A (B?) pillar, with the cable routed through the vent and down behind the dash to the obd2 port. In the settings i changed the can gateway bc i have a 2020 and that's really it. i might do a custom RAM mount to that vent but only if i get my windshield tinted

Mine is mounted to the windshield too.
Only issue I've had is the leds light up different colors when its hot outside. I have not programmed any leds.

I keep mine plugged in so it stays on the map I use.

I have the exact same setup on my 2020, no issues.

Jeez finally found another instance! I thought my unit was possessed for the longest time . Makes total sense now , happens only on days where its hot as balls.

I keep my v1.2 plugged in all the time because I like to use TunerView Lite on my headunit.

There is also the added benefit of keeping it plugged into keep map 1,2,3 settings saved after you shut the car off, but I usually drive in map 1 over 90% of the time.

My V2 plugs in full time on custom mount. Same level as dash gauge and somewhat discreet, looking like it belongs.
