Highly recommend this one a lil pricey but amazing quality and hides the ktuner v2 from plain view💙 I currently have one installed and I love it!

Two Step Performance carries two...

https://www.twostepperformance.com/products/new-ktuner-v2-above-stereo-mount-for-2016-honda-civic

https://www.twostepperformance.com/products/new-ktuner-v2-center-console-mount-for-2016-honda-civic

Niku Motors has...

https://www.nikumotors.com/products/lhd-honda-civic-16-21-10th-generation-in-dash-phone-mount

https://www.nikumotors.com/products/dual-t-slot-adapter-mount-kit

UPDATE: Apparently they are now 15% off... pretty sure I paid full price Dec 30... ffs.

You can also just get their LHD (*or RHD) bracket and then mount it with something supporting the AMPS pattern like the QuadLock Flat Rectangle base [ You will need to supply your own nuts and bolts... I like ProBolt USA ]

https://www.quadlockcase.com/collections/quad-lock-360/products/quad-lock-360-base-flat-rectangle

QuadLock

Or you can go 100% QuadLock ...

Get either the original mechanical twist lock mount, or the new Mag mount
https://www.quadlockcase.com/collections/shop-universal/products/universal-adapter

Then pair it with their 360 adapters to suit your car
https://www.quadlockcase.com/collections/quad-lock-360

The Mag stuff is fricking awesome, I cannot recommend highly enough.
The phone cases are really good too, and the Mag phone charging is super solid.

That said the KTuner is HEAVY...
I am mounting mine in the Center Console... not sure I would want it hanging out in space.
I will install mine this weekend and hopefully get some miles on it by Monday night.

PS. Unrelated

If you are shopping QuadLock, do yourself a favour and get their Wireless CarPlay adapter, it is really slick. No Engrish web interfaces... It also has a pass-through port if you want to plug your Phone in the other side.

https://www.quadlockcase.com/collec...reless-carplay-adaptor?variant=42203608514731

The Charging Pad is also excellent, really solid grip with the Mag cases... I would not hesitate to install this into the Civic center console cubby, your phone is not flying off unless you go off a cliff. However I just use it on a desk at home...

Just for completeness, there is also this part available on Etsy -- by the same seller as the mount posted by Bill above

"Is your Ktuner V2 bracket worn out and bent with the screws always coming loose? Then upgrade to this Carbon Fiber Reinforced version which is stronger and virtually wear resistant. This bracket is designed to offer increased accuracy when mounting your Ktuner on the go and mates up perfectly with my K Buddy mounts too! Includes (3) new cap screws and an allen key for a quick and easy installation."

The quadlock products look great and the pricing is pretty good. Are you drilling directly into your dash with the rectangle base?

If you get the Niku Motors mount, then that is a metal bracket that just screws in behind your Climate Controls (*using the existing screw & screwhole) ... then you can then mount the rectangular base to that (Reminder: you will need some M5 countersunk bolts and nuts to do so...)

Click the Tech Specs on the QuadLock page, they provide great details on their products
e.g.

"Both Rectangle Bases are built with tough, nylon and use the universal AMPs hole spacing standard.

The holes will accept 10G or M5 countersunk fasteners.

(...)

4 HOLE BASE
  • 58mm (2.3") long x 50mm (2") wide x 14mm (0.55") high
  • AMPS Hole Pitch: 38mm (1.5") x 30mm (1.2")"

I've got some 15mm countersunk bolts, a couple different nut styles (acorn, nylock) on the way to try fitment. (ProBolt USA ~ TICS515BK)

From Niku Motors webpage:

However you COULD instead mount the Quadlock rectangular mount to any solid plastic part in your car directly, with aforementioned bolts & nuts or countersunk screws. You could also just use some really good 3M or other adhesive product. OR you can just get their Flexible adhesive mount (I am using this flat mounted to the interior floor of the console cubby, it's holding really well for now - rock solid - although it's cold AF here and maybe in 100 degree Arizona heat it could let up, not sure)

https://www.quadlockcase.ca/collect...base-flexible-adhesive?variant=39538022744139

On the topic of drilling into interior plastic... some people are going to lose their minds, but you can always buy the replacement plastic part from Honda if you ever want to revert. Most parts are quite cheap... it's just plastic after all. The one thing to remember if you are going to fit anything to the passenger side of the console plastics, is to ensure that the glovebox will clear it... there is not a ton of clearance, but if you position things right it can be done OK.

PS.

Pretty sure that I bought nearly every part that QuadLock makes so if you have any specific questions about any part just hit me up... and I have no affiliation or sponsorship BS with them, btw.

I do recommend getting a third party cable with their 360 Mag Charging head.
It accepts USB-C but they cables they provide are (1) pretty short and (2) not the most flexible/pliable... their cable comes all folded over and twist-tied and so has lots of kinks, you are better off using a nice Anker cable or other good cable off Amazon. I got a generic one with a 90 degree connector that works really well...

Thanks for everything. Im thinking of running the Niku Mount, with the Quadlock square base, finished with the universal adapter. Lmk if there’s any problems with this plan … now I’m seeing that I don’t have a connection between the universal adapter (or universal adapter) and the square base. Or am I completely off the mark and the adapter fits onto the square base? Sorry for all the questions

I am still waiting on my Niku mount and my nuts and bolts, so I can't swear to fitment but here's my thoughts on your potential order:

Niku mount: OK

You may want to see their FAQ page if you missed it

https://docs.google.com/document/d/...PguF_vXdbak8b28bR93B_PLX2W2G3lPdY7gPPnmhX/pub

Note that you might want to add their Dual T-Slot Mount Adapter just in case, it is an extra $13..
They charged me $20 shipping, so I would not be inclined to go BACK and order that part later.
if you think you will never use it then don't bother... I forget to pick one up at the same time.

https://www.nikumotors.com/products/dual-t-slot-adapter-mount-kit?variant=39793079910609

Quad Lock square base: OK

Quad Lock universal adapter: TBD

As long as you know what you are getting: QL make two adapters, one is the original plastic mechanical twist-lock that has no chance of detaching. The other one is the MAG Univeral Adapter. This uses strong magnets and utilizes the shape of the Quad Lock mount to provide extra support, but there is no twist-lock on it. Now I haven't taken my car off-road or ramped any railway tracks, but the magnet seemed pretty strong for the KTuner.

Original on the left, MAG on the right:

Honda Civic 10th gen Ktuner Mount Models? 1673183787247

In your PM you suggested you were going to get the Lever Head mount:
I have this style on my bicycle... where obviously you stand a much greater chance of accidentally knocking off your phone and smashing it on the road. I would not choose the Lever Head for the car, I don't think you need this level of security and I am not sure you could reach the lever (easily) behind the KTuner. But interesting idea, myab its a good one.

I would choose either:

original twist mechanism
Top Cap
Wireless Charging Head

OR

MAG Head
MAG wireless charging head

My suggestion would be to get one of the Wireless Heads, and choose which attachment mechanism you prefer - the twist or the magnets. Unfortunately they are expensive, but... my thinking is that you can always unplug the USB-C cable from the back and then it looks exactly the same as the non-wireless one. The dimensions are the same iirc. But if you do want to use the charging cable, then you can always slap your phone on it, when your KTuner is not in the car. (Assuming your phone has wireless charging etc, and you use a QL MAG case on it...)

One thing I am not sure of is the angle of the Niku mount... like will we need an angle adapter to make the device face the driver properly? TBD... you can check their Instagram:

https://www.instagram.com/nikumotors/

Reminder that you need nuts and bolts to attach anything to do the Niku mount, as I don't think they supply anything, and neither does QL.

This was my ProBolt USA order... you may have cheaper options available closer to home

4 bolts,
2 different types of nuts
some washers just in case.

Titanium Countersunk Bolt M5x(0.80mm)x15mm
(PTiColor: Titanium Black)
TICS515BK4$8.16 USD
$32.64 USD
Aluminum Nylock Nut M5x(0.80mm)
(PTiColor: Black)
LNYN5BK4$1.26 USD
$5.04 USD
Aluminum Dome Nut M5x(0.80mm) (DIN1587)
(PTiColor: Black)
LDOMENUT5BK4$1.26 USD
$5.04 USD
Aluminum Drilled Washer M5 (10mm O/D)
(PTiColor: Black)
LWAD5BK4$1.32 USD
$5.28 USD
Aluminum Washer M5 (10mm O/D)
(PTiColor: Black)
LWA5BK4$0.99 USD
$3.96 USD

The Niku is 18 gauge steel ... which the internet tells me is 1.2 mm thick.

The QL base is 6mm thick.

Based on the specs that QL provide, I ordered a 15mm countersunk screw, where the threads are 12mm long (so the head is 3mm) I am hoping it is a good fit...

i.e.

3mm countersunk head
3mm rest of the base

1.2mm through the Niku mount

that should leave me 8mm out the backside,
and the nuts I ordered are 5mm tall for the open nuts and 8mm tall for the acorn nuts
and washers just in case

TBD!

PS. Image from Niku IG if you don't have it

I’m guessing this is going to take a little trial and error. I’ll let you know how it turns out. Thanks!

Ok I just took a run with my KTuner on a QL Wireless MAG mount...

SOLID

Setup

KTuner v2
QL Universal MAG adapter
QL Wireless MAG mount
QL Knuckle adapter
QL Adhesive Mount

so in terms of connections:

Ktuner
--> (adhesive to ) Universal MAG adapter
--> (magnet ...) Wireless MAG mount
--> (screwed to) Knuckle Adapter
--> (screwed to) Adhesive mount
--> (adhesive to) plastic/rubber console cubby surface

combined with an Amazon sourced 90 degree USB-C to USB-C cable into a Mophie dual USB-C 40W PD car charger...

I hit some railroad tracks, and a lot of crap roads, potholes and the KTuner didn't even budge.

Now I should point out that the Ktuner is at an angle, and therefore some of that weight is driving down into the QL mount which must take some of the burden off the magnets.

Anyway, I can also slap my phone on there to charge, the only annoying thing is most apps don't support a horizontal mode...

I still plan to setup the Niku mount described, but I will probably use that for my phone and the center cubby for the KTuner when I have it in the car.

I had difficulty figuring out which QL bits to make it work in the cubby. It really depends on where on the KTuner you mount the Universal bracket, I installed mine nearer the top edge of the KTuner. Regardless of which part I tried, I wasn't having much luck getting the KTuner deeper into the cubby... there ends up being too much depth off the back of the KTuner (due the various mount pieces)

Below, the reason I can set it up like this is that I have the Acuity (short) shifter... if you had the stock shifter, I think you would be banging your hand into the KTuner. Maybe if you had the knob set high, like drift king style...

Sorry for the dust, makes me look like an animal!!!

Where did you get the 90 degree cable for your unit? It looks like it's for the new model with the plastic tip.

Exactly it is the new KTuner v2 model with the Firewire IEEE1394 6-pin connection instead of that lame Samsung phone connector.

Once you have this model you can use any Firewire cable extension, couplers etc.

NOTE: The KTuner does NOT come with a 90 degree firewire cable... it a straight connector just like the original one was.

*** NOTE ****

I DO NOT RECOMMEND FLASHING YOUR CAR WITH THE KTUNER IN THIS CONFIGURATION.

My strong recommendation is that you ONLY flash your car with a DIRECT connection from the Ktuner to the OBD2 port, and no other couplers, mounts, extensions etc. You can buy a separate cable from Ktuner (or reseller) for those circumstances - it's cheap... or you can just disconnect your cable from the coupler configuration shown below.

***********

I have mine going like this...

KTuner OBD2 to Firewire cable --> Neutrik firewire coupler/mount setup --> short 90 degree Firewire cable

I bought the short Firewire cables from USBFirewire.com
I was very pleased with the product and their service, recommended!
I ordered a few so I could mess around:

Note that the Firewire port in the KTuner is "pointy bit" down on the right-hand side of the KTuner

Neutrik and one other company make a Firewire mount/coupler (shown below), you'll find them used in professional audio racks

Here is my Neutrik install:

You'll see that the cable routing probably works best with a straight connector, rather than using kind of 90 degree connector at this position. Firewire cables are pretty rigid in comparison to other premium USB/USB-C cables you may be familiar with. Or certainly these ones are...

If you are paranoid about cutting your car, just buy a replacement plastic plate off eBay or HondaPartsNow, they are cheap if you ever want to revert to stock.

The Neutrik mount comes in either black plastic or metal, like this

Basically the 6-pin cable from the KTuner cable just plugs right into the back of it.

I installed mine between the USB and Cigarette lighter plugs as shown above.

If you want to go this route, you can just pull out the panel with a hook tool from the tiny little cutout along its bottom-edge (on the passenger side)... you'll barely see it above. You do not need to remove any other console pieces to do this.

I recommend these, they are great

Once you have this off, you will find there is a bit of support plastic which the "console plate" plastic clips into. There are three clips, two along the lower edge and one in the middle. As it stands, that middle plastic support will be in the way, and you would not be able to position the Neutrik in the center as shown. You could however mount it higher up. But I just took a Dremel and cut off the upper part of the support, it really doesn't serve much useful purpose.

If you do this, ... then for safety... move the USB and Power connector cables well out of the way, and disconnect the battery first. There is TONS of space behind that plate otherwise ... you are nowhere near anything else to worry about cutting. You have tons of room if you want to operate a hand saw of some sort instead too. The plastic was too hard to use a Leatherman saw tool on it though.

I ended up bundle the bulk of my KTuner cable behind that plate btw

Update: found a nice YouTube video that shows it exposed... looks like this:

Below are some Neutrik parts to look up, you don't need all these parts and you can assemble it however you like...

1x Neutrik SCDP-0 Black Color Coded Sealing Gasket for D-size Chassis Connectors
1x Neutrik SCDP-2 Red Color Coded Sealing Gasket for D-size Chassis Connectors
1x Neutrik SCDX Black Hinged Sealing Cover for all D-size chassis connector
1x Neutrik MFD Threaded Backplate for Mounting "D Type" Panel Connectors (2 PACK)
1x Neutrik DBA D-Series Blank Plate for all D-size chassis connectors
1x Neutrik NA1394-6-W-B Firewire 6-Pin Female to Female Panel Mount Black D-Shape

Also if you go with the Neutrik coupler, check out on eBay shop
They make the following:

Also

Carbon Composite Blank Plate DBA-BL, for Neutrik XLR D-series Cutouts, 4-Pack

I bought the eBay cutouts above rather than getting the Neutrik backplate.

I bought the Neutrik rubber gaskets, but did not end up using them, I think the screws provided in the eBay kit were not long enough to go through the gasket as well as the two plate pieces.

So my setup is

eBay cutout plate || Neutrik Mount || eBay blank plate (modified)*

(*) I modified the blank plate by cutting the same size hole in it...

Let me tell you that was a bastard of a job unless you have the right equipment.
It would be better to ask the eBay seller if they can laser cut a hole it in for you...
however that plate was not necessary, it is just cosmetic because I used the metal coupler and it helped minimize the silver. I could have gone with the hinged sealing cover, but I was not sure if it would get in the way and it seemed more of a flimsly "rubber hinge" rather than a solid hinge as used on the rest of the Honda ports.

Hope that helps, sorry it's a bit all over the place.

PS.
You can also power your KTuner INDOORS with an old iPod Firewire Charger. Cheap on eBay. I found that it would never come alive with any USB connection, with any high-power USB ports on any computer, hub etc. In fact it would never even connect to my PC to use with the KTuner software, so I had to sit in the freezing car with my laptop. Anyway... once you connect it via Firewire and USB it seems to come alive, and you can mess with the Gauge configuration, try Demo mode etc. The only thing you cannot do is look at your Tunes in this state. ALso if you launch the Ktuner software then that will take over and the screen will go blank. This was much preferred to freezing my ass off in my car fiddling with the settings.
