I'm looking to add Ktuner on my Type R and would like flex fuel capabilities if I decide to add some E54 to the tank. I can't seem to find definitive answers to a few questions.
Here in AZ we only have E54.

1. Does anyone make a flex fuel kit specific to the Type R or is the Si kit the same?

2. If I enable flex fuel in the Ktuner software, will it 'automagically' adjust fuel trims etc to the level of ethanol it is seeing via the sensor? Meaning can I run the same tune with straight 91, a blend of 91 & E54, or straight E54?

3. Can tunes be changed by switching from comfort to sport or +R?

4. Is there a decent screen mounting solution on the left side of the steering where near the TC button?

Thanks for helping a newb! :)

The fuel system is too small for E10 pump gasoline, let alone a fuel with more ethanol content.

KTuner software does not have a "FlexFuel" feature available for the FK8 for that reason.

I have logged fuel pressure drops as big as 5mpa on gasoline with the FK8.

Because they limit power to less than I can make on a CTR with pump gas in order to maintain fuel supply.

It's a marketing gimmick at this point in the game; the fuel system is too small to make power with it. When port injection is readily available, or any other real fuel system upgrade for that matter comes to fruition, then it will be worthwhile.

If you're okay with mediocre power levels, it works, but you'll need to dilute down to 30-35% from 54% anyway, also.

I can claim I'm the Queen of England; doesn't mean it's true. :)

The dyno they use is very liberal.

Hey Derek, thanks for your input. What do you think about the base motor? My goal is to reach 400hp using the PRL Big Turbo. However, I've heard the base motor has some limitations, such as the fuel pump. Do you think it's worth investing time and money building the base 1.5? Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thx!

To the OP: Sorry for hijacking your thread.
