It did help alot, at Road Atlanta in 88° ambient temps, I was able to do a full 15 minute Time Attack session as full pace with peak temps hitting 233, but on most sections of the track it was around 224. That is a win. Wednesday we laser scanned tge hood so we can get some perfect CAD designs on the scoop replacement as well as design some others and lazer cut aluminum louver panels will soon be available specific to the FK8.

What were the IATs like? I’ve noticed just scooting along at a normal pace the IATs sky rocket in this heat. On the track in the summer I can imagine they get way higher.

I need to do an intercooler upgrade soon.

I will have to go look at Data logs when I get back home, headed to Type-R Expo right now. The IAT was really good though, been testing prototype Mishimoto intercooler.

Mugen pls. This would be perfect for the FK8. Just make the hood scoop the same as factory.

I concur, I placed two hood lovours on my hood and I can see the heat escape out.

Had to make permanent cut, but worth it and looks nice!
Any issues with water in the engine bay?

No issues, I can see the heat escape and can tell they are functional.
