Most of the AWD cars I’ve owned, were eclipses and talons. Not much for breaking the tires loose. It would. But it wouldn’t be crazy out of control. I hear the focus RS gets tail happy on the track.

Dang, 120tq difference for the accord, I'll remember that if I run up next to one :D

Now, of course, this post is way off topic though....I think I see like 8 related replies to over 20 non-related replies...love this site.

You won’t know if they’re tuned! Check out Hondatas tune for them. Almost 300hp and 370tq, for the 2.0. That thing would be a beast to drive. Considering they’ve clicked off low 5 second 0-60 times, and low 14 sec qtr mile times, untuned. It’s probably a pretty quick car. Now my pick for availability on the Type R, would be a 10 speed dual clutch, with SH-AWD. The Type R 350-400hp would be untouchable.

Might want to check those accord numbers. They're not quite that high.

Just got the info by watching the Hondata Accord video.

High dyno, at least 15% high . The dyno owners will tell you that.

Sure, if the owners target is 500-600hp than this is the wrong car. But I think this CTR would manage 400hp with no big problems. (And I wiuld be more than happy with 400 hp :D )
I’m only at 340 but I need to do a 3rd gear WOT with no hands video...

From what I have seen, the car is already a handful, at 306. At 400, it would be hard to drive on the street. When the boost came on, in my FWD Eclipse, it was nearly impossible, under normal driving, for the car to not spin the tires above 3,000. Every time you left a red light, the boost came on, so hard, at 3,000 that even feathering the gas couldn't keep the tires from at least breaking loose. It gets tiring. AWD is amazing.

And 600 may be a little too much, but having a 500 hp AWD car, is easily manageable, on the street. And why can't it be a Civic. People want sleepers.
I have no doubt the car can handle it. By handling it, I mean not spinning the tires all the way through 1st gear, and halfway into second. Or just being able to break the tires loose trying to change lanes.
The car definitely will not launch near as well as AWD but the electronics do pretty well to maximize traction. I do spin first, but the car actually gets moving so fast that boost doesn’t have time to build.
2nd spins in +R but not that much in Sport.
3rd cuts boost gently to 17psi.4th hooks and goes!

The 2.0T Accord 6speed would be an awesome car to lease and flash. I’d consider picking up a used one in a couple years as a daily.

It seems like the 2.0 with the 10 Speed would be the thing to have.

It might be. I’d be more afraid of it holding up...

And if I bought it, I’d probably want to swap in a CTR LSD. It would really help with the crap weather.

* Hopefully the Acura line gets a 2.0T with shAwd that can be flashed...

The accord and the CTR should both have a 10 speed and SH-AWD
Ew. We don’t want an auto TypeR. I think the best we could ask for is an Acura-branded civic-based hatchback with shawd and 2.0T.
