Update on what I did.
I have the American modified J’s racing replica grill. The initial body shopbroke one do the clips during the install and you see in the first 2 photos. It starts to gap.
I tried using zip ties to pull the grille and bumper together with no such luck.

During a local type r meet, one of the guys who does rim restoration Cosmetic & auto detailing took a look at is and suggested that he can weld them together. As you can see In the photos he clamped the grill to the bumper and welded it together.

The other thing we did was spray paint the crash beam and AC condenser as other member have done.

picking her up tomorrow. Letting the welding sit overnight with the clamps. The results so far is promising.

I bought the replica with emblem mount from Aliexpress for about $175 and I can say install was pretty easy without instructions and fitment was near damn perfect. Only thing was the driver’s side eyelid was missing so I didn’t bother contacting the seller since they’re from China. I just spray painted my OEM chrome one to gloss black just until I can get it replaced for a cleaner one that’s gloss black. Passenger side eyelid I found a bit loose, but I’m assuming it’s going to fix itself once it’s sitting on top of the headlight. Followed the advice of @metal_driver by cutting the middle piece out. 3mm from the top, flush at the bottom. As for the emblem mount, it’s useless, don’t bother with it. The screws to mount the emblem mount scratches the paint off of the wire mesh which I didn’t like. So what I did was buy a metal bracket from Home Depot and cut it to size. Drilled in two holes that would fit the back pins for the emblem. And then zip tied the bracket to the wire mesh forward by super glueing The emblem to the bracket. It’s a tad off and not straight but I plan to replace the emblem later on. I’m was expecting to replace the wire mesh but surprised that it’s actually decent. All I can say is be vigilant on ensuring the tabs pop in the slots when fitting on and you’re golden. ??

This looks like the American modified version which is inspired by the J's Racing with smaller and shallow opening. You don't even have to cut the vertical bumper support to fix this AM grill, but you should reinforce the vertical support instead with metal bracket.

You will only know the fitment once the bumper is installed back on the car.

Obviously I’ve tried putting on the grille on with the vertical support on prior to cutting. So of course the grille wouldn’t fit thus why I had to cut it.

Got a link to that badge holder? I’m trying to find one that will fit the American Modified grille I have. I’ve got an EPR one on the way just in case

Why don't you get the 04-05 Civic front emblem with shroud base 75711-S5T-A11ZA?

The EP3 emblem is probably the largest.

I have a J's Racing Grill that I got used a while ago and finally decided to start putting this on my car. Since I bought it used for a good price I didn't get the u-clips and fasteners included. Been trying to find the right sized tapped u-clips, but no luck so far.

Do you all think cable ties work instead of screws with u-clips? Or does anyone know any online stores with large selections of specialty fasteners?

Should be more like this.

I think it's ~10mm edge distance, and maybe M4 or M5 thread size, but far from sure. I've ordered a bunch of different styles on Amazon and none of them have been a good match.
