Many peo
I know that the answer for my question was indirectly answered a few pages earlier but would you guys say that the grille is applicable to LX/EX trims? I called VividRacing that sells this grille and it sounded like the guy was reading off of a script as his answer didn't sound confident and replied with "I guess so...". Also, would you guys say that I could interchange the grille to an FK8 if I were to upgrade my trim later down a few years from now? Thanks guys.
Many people have installed type r grill on regular civic, all years all chassises.

Recommend going directly to J’s Racing USA.

I’ve had nothing but great and fast transactions with Mr. Yasu and he delivers on what he says. The schedule he gives is 100% accurate and he should be able to provide the answer to your question. Vivid not so much.

i mean, can I remove the OEM grill and put it on the js racing or do I need to buy js racing badge adapter?
You can remove the emblem, but there is no base for the emblem to sit on if you were to put it on the J's Racing grill.

You need that base or shroud for the emblem to be attached on.

the shop left the bracket in the middle which is behind the mesh. They said if they were to cut that bracket, the grill would have slumped/sagged.

So i'll need that J's racing emblem mount?

Pretty certain that plastic vertical bracket will need to be cut off. It will be in the way of the center badge holder.. which is supplied with with a metal support strip.

The center will not sag.. at least mine hasn’t yet ?

Have you seen the installation guide posted?

Can you also post another photo of the entire front of your car with hood closed please?

Yes, the grill will collapse if you cut the center beam in the bumper cover, so keep that and I'll paint it black instead to hide the center beam. Here is how it looks like on another car with the similar grill by keeping the center support beam.

No, because what @ATM has on his vehicle is yet another knockoff modified version inspired by the J's. There are significant differences.

The original J's Racing grill is twice deeper so the vertical beam will be in its way. You do have to cut the center beam if it's a 100% Chinese copy like this one.

Yeah, this is probably the latest replica that has shallow openings so that the center beam is not required to be removed.

The earlier replica is a 100% copied from the original J"s racing mold. If you look at the comparison pictures above you will notice this latest replica is not as deep as the J's.
