What grill is this?
ebay honeycomb badgeless grille. Similar to the one from fkxracing but without the emblem holder. Quite a few listed on eBay if you search for it. The seller I purchased it from no longer carries it.

Thanks for the install guide! My grill just got delivered today after being stuck in Japan for almost 2 months. It also had a really terrible finish and fitment with the top edge.

The install is a process and there is additional expense above and beyond the cost of the grill itself to get it dialed in...

But the results are worth it imo. Breaks necks and is functional at the track ?

Here are some shots from Buttonwillow Raceway and one in the driveway with black chrome emblem installed.

J’s Racing vented hood will be going on sometime soon to complement the grill.

It looks so friggin good!!! I'm stopping by Home Depot to get some stuff and hopefully start sanding tomorrow.

Thanks for the link to the detailed guide, I really appreciate it!

I am a little stumped...the split washer that came with the hardware. I can't quite figure out where it goes, I'm assuming on one of the bolts securing the middle bracket but does it matter if I put it on the top bolt or the bottom bolt?

Don’t think it matters much if it’s for this. I think I lost mine

Why buy the original J’s if it fits like shit? Wouldn’t it make more sense to buy the knockoff from AliExp?

Guess because its authentic J’s? Haven’t seen the reps yet. Probably good enough and makes sense for some. Would save several hundred bucks at least...

But there is no getting around the cost of paint, clear coat, and ceramic/PFF if go that route.

Good thing is the fitment can be corrected with some effort.

I was unaware there were some knockoffs available when I committed... so that’s my excuse;)

well, it's finally on...

I messed up on the sanding, had the body/paint shop fix it and paint it, at least it came back better than when I dropped it off.

There's another issue with fitment on 2020 Civics. Due to Honda Sensing suite, I had to sawzall off an 18" long piece of metal off the bumper that holds the brake assist sensor.

I do like the final product (my wife is saying I should have left the grill black), but truth be told I'm kinda on the fence about this whole endeavor being worth it....

On another note, man I need to wash my car!

Agreed. These grills cost a fortune and them another fortune. J's grills are officially a ripoff. Cost+ sanding+ priming+ painting+ and more adjustments= Crap.

It's like your already buying the knockoff product. Not Good.

Pretty much can be said for a lot of the aftermarket exterior add-ons... Especially if want to do it right with paint, clear coat, PFF and ceramic. If need a shop to install, that’s more money there...

It’s the extra costs above the price of the grill, hood, wing or whatever that gets you :(
