How are you putting your car on jack stands? Do you use normal jack stands? Pinch weld pads? Special jack stands? This is my first car that you have to use the pinch welds on.

I actually went to Menards, bought some rubber floor tile, cut it into 6-8 inch squares, glued three of them into a stack and use those. But I’d love another option.

I'm new to jack stands too and trying to figure this out as well to not bend pinch weld. I read several reviews saying those rubber pads break and split so it doesn't seem very safe either..

That’s why I made my own, couldn’t find something I felt comfortable with. Might try these mentioned above.

I don’t, they’re at my buddy’s house. It’s black, 3 dollar rubberized floor cover from Menard’s cut into 6x8 inch rectangles and glue do together with Permatex as I recall. As long as you don’t bend them after the glue sets, they should be good.

The place where you put the jack stands are reinforced, so you don't need to use those pinch weld adapters.

Rubber hockey pucks work best. I’ve been using pucks for years and I place the puck on the jack to raise whatever vehicle, and then place jack stands right on the frame.

I’ve used rubber hockey pucks to lift anything and everything from a Chevy 2500 pickup to my civic. Never had any issues with them. Plus they cost about $2.00 and once they get worn, replace without breaking the bank.

You don't need those for jack stands (Or shouldn't) as most are made to have a grove for the pinch weld to drop into. I don't use anything special with mine.

Now my 5 ton floor jack, I use a checkered rubber lift plate instead of the all metal cup that it came with depending on the vehicle. Sometimes there is a lot of plastic around those pinch welds and I don't want to wreck it. (My CRV and my friends Camry are like this).

To clarify, I made my pads not to use for pinch weld protection but to protect the underside against scratching or damage from the jack or stands. Sorry for any confusion.

Is that the OEM scissor jack? Jack stands mostly don't have slots for pinch welds. I remember my scissor jack actually lifting from the inside of the pinch weld and not the part sticking out itself.

Yes it is the OEM jack .

I use it for my jobs on the two Civic in the family.
1- Tires change ; winter / summer
2- Oil change with jack stand for safety
