Yep. The 11th gen will be released in 2021 as a 2022 model. My guess is base models first with Si's maybe 6 months later.
Wow, so a hatch Si could be 18 months away. I don't know if I can wait that long, and I sort of regretting getting a first model year Civic hatch last time around. My car will probably have 130k miles by then. Gonna stick with the plan of getting an Si sedan.

I’d only be justly happy with them cutting coupes if they’re gonna make a Si hatch. And I also bought the coupe for the looks, the sedan looks to me too much like every other Civic on the road.

If they come out with an HRV with this 1.5 turbo and 6 speeds, that will be my next car.

Was gonna trade in next spring and get a Mk7.5 GTI but I guess I'll wait and see if they release an Si hatch, that'd potentially be enough to keep me in the Honda family for another generation. They're gonna need to bump the power and improve the infotainment a lot though. Plus I want the little light up blind spot indicators, no more of this lanewatch nonsense.

A si hatch ? I don't think so.
It would hurt both the CTR and the sports hach.
She'd be somewhere in between.
As for the engine, forget about the 2.0 L for the same
reasons that there is no SI 2.0L at the moment : the cost
and the CTR.
Mechanically, I think it will be very close to the current Si
but with improvements such as : reinforced connecting rods,
CTR clutch, revised and improved gearbox....
To be competitive, the power will be slightly increased, about
220 hp and 230 tq.
These are just conjectures and I hope to be alive at the end
of 2021 to see how wrong I was.

The Si is staying, but hoping to see how the 11th will look so I can get a CTR as well to run alongside it for testing products, and using as a daily :)

A last batch 10th CTR is also appealing ?

Also read that the 2.0 NA engine may go bye bye as well.
RIP Honda's long lived production of NA 4-cyl engines. Can't say I didn't see this happening but since the 2.0 is going i'm assuming and the Fit is dying and the HRV will probably get the 1.5 turbo eventually, that's the end of the road for their naturally aspirated engines besides their V6 which I feel will also eventually get replaced by 2.0 turbo. 1.5 turbo is no doubt a better engine in terms of power and stuff, but i'll certainly miss their NA 4-cyl's. Even the base K20C2 in my car which is more economy oriented feels great with a tune and I love hearing that VTEC changeover at 5k RPM.

Lol well said.

If the 2.0L for the Sport is gone, then the Sport sedan would get the 1.5T and threaten the Si sedan by same logic.
If the Type R gets 400 hp then a 1.5T Si doesn't make sense. So you might see the Si move up in price and performance to fill the gap below the Type R. And a Si hatch makes perfect sense. Si is too cheap imo, I think it makes more sense at $28-$29k. Let's hope.

It would need to be a nicer car to move up price point that much.

Honda, for the past few years, have been wanting a fuel efficient
and very affordable SI.
They have said so every time they have presented the SI at auto shows.
For performance, they have relied on the CTR.
They also shown it with videos on the Nurburing circuit, for example.
I don't think they're going to change their policy: fuel economy and
low pollution for the SI and performance for the R type. the power of which
will probably be increased around 330-340 hp.
You can always dream, you'll never get 400 hp in the customers' car.
It is technically feasible but expensive and they are very conservative.
Audi, for example is not.
That,s my opinion and you are free to think otherwise.
