Hi there, just recently got my leased 2017 LX and already scraped the back passenger door within a parking lot...

How would I go about fixing this? Based on the damage, it looks like I'm in the hole for $1,000+. Thoughts? Thanks

No, scratch that, fuck no!
I just posted a similar thing in about the same area, but I have like 2 deep scuffs less then 5-4inches. They quoted me for a 1000.
You're looking at more than a G easy

Yeah that is some pretty serious damage. I am sure some of the paint transfer might come off if compounded and polished, but in many places you are clearly through the paint. You are definitely looking at paint and body work to fix that.

Ya that seems like pretty serious damage. Since its actually on the door and rear panel it would likely be around a G like mentioned above.

At that rate, I'd be trying to find a door and side skirt from one in a junkyard, I'd be hoping that bit of quarter wouldn't cost as much without the door and skirt to worry about, just my two cents!!

Had the exact same thing happen to me around a month ago - pulled into my parking spot way too tight and scraped the EXACT same area, down to the bare metal. Didn't want to deal with it and went through insurance.

It was around $1600 total, parts+labor. Looks brand new though.
