Is the ride quality on 18s noticably better compared to the OEM 20s?

Title is pretty much the question. I was looking at buying a set of these wheels (link below) with a set of tires, but I only want to do it if there's a definite increase in ride quality. I've been living with the OEM 20s for 2 years now, and while the ride is nowhere near bad, if it can be made better, I'd like to consider doing it.

Thanks!

Definitely. I also opted for some 18” GramLights recently. They look way better than I anticipated and mounting a 255/40 tire makes for a much more pleasant ride

You'll get softer wide quality for sure if you go down in diameter. It's very noticeable going from 20s to 18s. I also lost some steering feel and gained a tad bit of torque steer during the transition (nothing bad; barely noticeable).

So, what I've noticed with my winters which are 18x8, is the steering feels so light.. I don't personally like that, but I can see the benefits for daily driving. It's also a little bit bouncier, but this could be due in part to the soft winter rubber and not only the larger sidewall.

The ride is more supple for sure.

Good responses so far. Definitely makes me think the expenditure is worth it. Also, I love the wheels lol.

Yep. Definitely a better daily driver quality downsizing.

I'm on the 57DR in the same spec, with 255/40 (stock suspension, no rub and fills out the gap better IMO) and while you lose the turn in from the OEM, it's definitely better overall for just cruising around.

Still very great performance when driving hard too.

I can attest to that light steering. It's a downside for sure. However, the gains from less rotating mass is pretty big and felt immediately. It was really staggering to be honest.

It's why I plan to get a track set in 18x8.5-9.5 +50-60~. Also the cheaper tires.
