That's how I have my seat too, been like that for years, no issues.

I prefer sitting more up right. I do have lower back issues where if my posture is bad, longer drives would make my thigh area really sore/numb. So sitting too low may be putting more weight onto my lower back, and reclining too much may put pressure on my neck since I'd need to reach for the top of the steering wheel.

With some experimenting i find that if I move the seat back forward 1 notch, the hip angle becomes too closed so i move the seat bottom back 1 notch as well. Then i feel a bit too far from steering wheel again. sad
Before getting this car I would slide the seat and recline as far back as possible while seeing the road comfortably and also telescope the wheel as far out as possible. A lot of people told me it looked like I was lying down and it was super comfortable. But now with a clutch and shifter I have to compromise a bit and sit more forward. So pretty much balance your own comfort and safety of operating the vehicle.
