I understand but i wouldn't have put myself in a position to finance a vehicle if i was scrapping to make ends meet. Sure its a new car and its not suppose to have issues but it has some minor flaws. It sucks that you have sooo many problems with yours. I'm sure Honds will make it right for you in the end. If not the good thing is theres tons of other car companies on the market looking for new customers.
I am totally jealous of people who got lucky on this car. Unfortunately for me...I am not one of them. In response to your quote, Honda is doing nothing to right their wrongs with the quality of "MY" car. They don't care. It's like pulling teeth just for them to return my calls. I don't need this BS..especially when I handed a $30,000 check (my car was bought with cash in my bank). If they don't care, then I don't care too (taking them to court). I have a good case and they know it...trust me. It's just a matter of time of when I get my money back. If I do, I will buy a cheap car that will run for a few years and I will definitely be back when fire all of the QC personnel who let this QC disaster through the production line, which could take a few years

You noticed none of these issues on your test drive? Or did all the problems show up a few days after. I just went back and checked your list and atleast 7 of the issues could have been noticed on the initial test drive/ walk through inspection.

Has anyone experienced this much bad luck with their purchase?
1.) Left headlight leaks (moisture build up)
2.) Right headlight leaks
3.) HVAC makes a whistling noise in the "Feet Mode"
4.) Left center vent (up/down motion) won't stay down when it heats up (I know it defies gravity but somehow Honda managed to do it)
5.) Windshield and/or wipers leave streaks all over the glass. I have to put "Rain Away" just to see safely every 2 weeks or else in stock mode it is a safety issue.
6.) Rain sensing wipers go ape-shit when activated. Have to use standard "on" just to see properly out of my defective windshield.
7.) Wireless charger works when it feels like it which is almost never. Had it replaced with a new one and guess what? Yep...Honda gave me another clone of the one that was replaced. Honda won't admit that there could be a bad batch that slipped through QC's fingers.
8.) Rear leather seating looks way to loose (some bubbles in some seams) Compared mine with other cars and the other cars looks fine. Bad luck I guess but I am not finished with my luck yet.
9.) Rear camera resolution is of B&W quality....around 280p. It is so useless that I went back to using my mirrors. I traded in a '15 Civic EX and the rear camera was WAY BETTER than this POS camera that Honda saved $5 downgrading. You (new owners) have no idea what a POS camera you have if you step in last years model. Shame on you Tight Ass Honda for saving $5 at your reputations cost.
10.) Rear plastic trunk trim (one that houses the license plate LED) doesn't line up rear panels. Actually most doors don't line up and/or has inconsistent gaps that range from 2mm to almost 8mm!
11.) Driver front (window) door rattles when closing. Honda Service replaced the window track and now the window rattles when closing AND now it stutters when the window goes up. Thanks Honda for making my day a brighter one (more leverage in court).
12.) Driver rear door window rattles when closing. Honda service replaced the outside glass trim to no success. Still there for me to show the judge if he want to hear it for himself.
13.) Passenger front door window rattles when closing. Honda couldn't even fix the driver side doors so they didn't even bother even trying with and other doors.
14. Passenger rear door window rattles when closing. No comment (or see #13 above).
15.) Passenger side door rubber moulding deformed. It's still 2 months on back order. I guess they need all the rubber mouldings that they can get so they can put it in their new cars on the assembly line. Come on Honda...you can't even spare not even 1 for someone who bought one of your lemons?
16.) Rear woofer and/or panel "farts" half volume. Honda blames my music for having to much rhythm (bass). Well excuuuuuuse me!
17.) Infotainment system sometime flashes on and off. Had a software update done on it and fixed the flashing issue. Of course when they fix one thing they create another (collateral damage). Now my Bluetooth doesn't connect all the time (popular deficiency).
18.) The transmission (this one is my favourite) jerks back and forth on the highway rocking me to sleep. Thank God the sudden deceleration from the Collision Mitigation System wakes me up.

Now is this bad luck or is this a lemon?
I have a few rattles here and there.
Also have the subwoofer rattle which is annoying.

But my major issue is the transmission.
It's horribly jerky to the point where it bucks sometimes. It's so bad that I don't want to drive. Honda refuses to say there's a problem So if I can't get this issue resolved I'm going to end up taking a big loss and buy another car in a few months.

It seems like either you've made a bad decision on purchasing your vehicle or you just hate Honda. So much gripes and problems for your civic x, minor details blown out of proportion. Seems like people "seek" for problems with the car. It has actually been a great car for me no Defects or maybe simply I just don't care. A car is a car and it'll eventually wear due to time and sooner or later you'll get a new one you could gripe about too lol. Sorry to hear about the problems but it's quite entertaining to read. Gives me something to chuckle about when I'm bored.
I think you hit the nail on the head. I've had no issues with my touring, but my old car was 10 years old so this car is amazing in technology to me. I feel badly if that particular car has some issues, but sometimes our realities are what we make them and if you look for issues you'll surely find them. Seems a solid car to me.

I had my Civic EX-T since December and put around 2000 miles so far. The only issues were a missing plastic trim pieces covering the passengers seat rail and pieces for the rear deck. My transmission never jerks. I have no issues with the infotainment system, although I've never used the bluetooth. I have no rattling whatsoever. The backup camera looks good to my eyes, though admittedly I've never had a car with a backup camera.

It's really disheartening hearing about your experience with Honda. The quality control people really slacked off with your car in particular. Hopefully Honda buys back your car for what you bought it for and even throw something in for wasting your time.

It would be nice to NOT give a shit about a $30,000 car like you do. You must be a millionaire or have a money tree which raises one question. Why would a millionaire buy a Civic? Well I'm not a millionaire and I do care about the quality of ANY product I buy with my hard earned money, especially when one of those products is the second largest purchase (on avg.) of his or her life. Brother please....don't brag about your wealth (can afford not give a crap about his vehicle). We are here to help each other out, not brag about their lack of care.

FYI...I LOVE THIS CAR. It is sexy...fast and solid (ride) feeling. I just love it. Its perfect for me. Only thing is...this car has issues that I don't deserve to deal with. Sorry. I have bought 2 Honda motorcycles and 2 Honda Civics in the last 4 years so don't tell me I hate Honda. I DO HATE "THIS" HONDA CIVIC THAT I REGRETTABLY AND CURRENTLY OWN. That I admit. And if I do win my court case (Honda to buy back my POS), I will be back in a few years when Honda irons out all of the kinks.
Not a millionaire here. Never said I was. Not boasting on anything. Just stating facts. Sorry it burned a fuse of yours or made wires touch, maybe it was defective too. Hope things get better for your defective Honda Civic. I'm sure Honda will take care of it once you bring it up to their attention. Best of luck!

can i ask how you got to this stage? I recently sent my certified letter requesting the final repair attempt and to begin arbitration. How did that go for you?

There's a fix for the transmission, if you are referring to the surging while at speed. It's a software update and takes less than an hour. As for the rattle, if it's from the subwoofer, request they put foam padding in rear deck lid AND in rear brake light housing. This makes the it much better and really should be done at the factory as I cannot believe they released a car with a "premium" sound system that rattled like a cheap after market install on a used Sentra.

Are your seeking relief from your local lemon law? Obviously with that long of a list of items to remediate, you will likely reach any required lemon law requirements before full resolution is obtained. If so are you seeking for the dealer to take the car back?

I am currently at the dealership to get the surging tsb updated on my car which I do have. But my other problem is that the transmission is shuddery and jerky at low speeds. Transmission also feels like it's not very free revving also. So I'm hoping that this tsb somehow in gods grace fixes not only the surging but the jerkiness.
