Good Afternoon,

I am new to the forum and I wanted to say I just got my Civic Type R and I feel I got fortunate. I just bought my Type R which is a 2018 with only 1676 miles on it and is essentially a brand new car with no dings dents, or other conditions. I love the car, I am a bit older in my early 40’s however, nothing wrong with feeling young again in this car. It handles exceptionally and couldn’t be happier. I always wanted a type R since I owned a ITR over 20 years ago. Look forward to talking with you all. Here are a couple pictures.

After reading the entire 188 page Aftermarket wheels thread, i thought I'd best sign up and say hello. You guys seem to love your 18" Rays wheels on your FK8s, and why not?

Just picked up my 2018 FK8 in red a couple of weeks ago. Traded my black FK2 for it with the BMW dealer I got my M140i from, which i traded in for the the FK2! Yes, I've now bought two Type-Rs, from my local BMW dealer. ? I also bought it in lockdown, unseen, no test drive. Drove over there on deal day, they checked my car, i checked theirs, we swapped keys, i doodled on a tablet and drove home with a big smile on my face. ?

My Type-R history is:
2001 EP3 - 2 years - Satin Silver
2000 DC2 - 5 years - Championship White
2007 FD2 - 6 years - Championship White
2016 FK2 - 2 years - Crystal Black Metallic
2018 Fk8 - approx 3 weeks - Rallye Red ?

Car is totally standard at the moment, probably stay that way for a while until i can decide whether to change the wheels or not, hence reading the entire wheel thread. ? Some awesome looking cars on here.

hey all, joined just after i ordered my Boost Blue FK8, and stoked that it arrived yesterday. Been fantasising about the Type R badge ever since the DC2 Integra arrived in 'straya (in 1999) so it's a bit of a surreal moment that I've got the time and budget and got in just in time coz my dealer tells me that allocations to Oz are now finished and Honda Australia are taking no further orders.

I know the styling's been a bit controversial but personally I love it, especially in this blue. I don't care how much of a head turner it is, I know I just love looking at it almost as much as driving.

My original sensible grocery-getter, the FK2 Civic VTi-S has served me flawlessly for 8 years and will stay in the family for the forseeable future. As for the FK8, I'm sure I'm going to have questions in the near future.

But for now I think I'll go for a bit of a blat...
